LAEL RIDES AROUND THE WORLD is the story of Gran Fondo guest rider Lael Wilcox as she set an astounding new record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe by bike, pedaling east from Chicago, Illinois, and returning from the west just 108 days, 12 hours, and 12 minutes later. The film was shot by Lael’s partner Rugile Kaladyte, a talented filmmaker and photographer, who documented the length of the 18,130-mile journey, an impressive feat in its own right.
